Serie A outfits, Torino are reportedly planning to make a January move for Arsenal anchorman Lucas Torreira.
The 24-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at the North London club over the summer and subsequently made a switch to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid on short term loan deal.
The Uruguay international has already played seven games for Diego Simeone’s side, including three in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, Lokomotiv Moscow and Red Bull Salzburg.
Atletico do not have a future purchase agreement with the Mikel Arteta’s side, though, and according to Marca, Torino are planning to make a winter move for the South American and sign him on permanent basis.
The report suggests that a lack of regular starts for Los Rojiblancos between now and January could lead him to make a return to Italy on a permanent basis.
Torreira’s current contract with Mikel Arteta’s side is due to expire in the summer of 2023.
Arsenal have already signed replacement for Torreira after they paid full release clause for Thomas Partey and reports claim that they are ready to listen offers for Uruguayan anchorman ahead of the next season.
