Arsenal Transfer Update: James Rodriguez Linked With Move After Playing Last Game For Real Madrid

The Gunners ended this season on a high, beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley to win the FA Cup.

With silverware came a renewed sense of excitement at the Emirates

Star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubamyang is on the brink of signing a new contract and that would be huge for Mikel Arteta.

On top of that, it seems Arsenal will be active in the transfer window.

Willian is reportedly close to complete a free transfer from London rivals Chelsea and he could be paid as much as £400,000-per-week.

Philippe Coutinho is also being touted for a move - he shares the same agent as Willian and Barcelona are desperate to off-load him.

It wouldn't be a massive shock if we did see him return to the Premier League. But it seems Arsenal aren't done there.

According to AS, the club are interested in signing James Rodriguez too.

The Spanish outlet reports that the midfielder 'will not play for Real Madrid again' despite the fact he has a year left on his contract.

James is no longer part of Zinedine Zidane's plans at the Bernabeu and his agent Jorge Mendes is now looking to find him a new club.

PSG, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal are all potential destinations, but it's the FA Cup winners who have shown the most interest in signing the playmaker.

There's no doubt that James would be a huge signing for Arsenal. But let's be honest, is there any chance the Gunners will sign Willian, Coutinho and Rodriguez in the same window?

It seems highly unlikely. Sure, Arsenal will sign one or two big names this summer. But it will probably be Willian, then Coutinho, in that order.

Considering the club have also made 55 members of staff redundant, that leads us to believe there isn't an unlimited supply of transfer and wage budget to burn through.

Sorry Arsenal fans, signing the trio just sounds too good to be true.

We Are Sure Of Victory In 2023 – Lagos PDP

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has boasted that it will win the governorship election and other polls in 2023. Spokesman Taofik Gani said the party has started strategising to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), He told The Nation that all the indices the party needed to win were clear, and that all it had to do was for the members to work together as a united family and flush out saboteurs within the party before the election year. Gani said: “This time, members have resolved to put the party’s goal over and above personal interest. In 2023, we are not going to take it lightly because Lagosians have been disappointed that our votes do not count. “We are mindful of the fact that if we lose in 2023, Lagosians will stop voting for PDP. This is why we are leaving no stone unturned to win the governorship seat and other elective offices in the next general election.” PDP is yet to produce a governor in Lagos State and
