Isa Funtua Will Be Remembered For What He Did For Women – Aisha Buhari


Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha has reacted to the death of Malam Isa Funtua, a close associate of her husband.

Aisha Buhari said Funtua will be remembered for supporting women in politics.

In a series of tweets, the President’s wife said the deceased supported the appointment of women into several boards in the past four years.

She wrote:

“Inna lillahi Wa inna ilaihi Raji’un. On behalf of my family, I extend our condolence to Mrs Hauwa Isa Funtua and the entire family on the sudden death of Malam Ismaila Isa Funtua.

“We pray that Allah SWT will grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua will be remembered for his support to female politicians, especially his role to get them appointed into different boards in the last 4 years.”

Mrs. Buhari also prayed that God grant the deceased’s family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
