Arsenal goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, has admitted he had a “very tough day”, after his howler gifted Chelsea an equaliser in a disappointing 2-1 defeat.
Mikel Arteta looked on course to earn his first victory as Gunners head coach, after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal kept them in front until the 83rd minute.
But Leno flapped at a cross from Mason Mount, allowing Jorginho to tap home unmarked from two yards out.
A late winner from Tammy Abraham saw Frank Lampard’s Chelsea claim all three points, leaving Arsenal in the bottom half of the table and 11 points behind top four places.
Very tough day today. But I have to look forward,” Leno tweeted after the game.
