Arsenal Lookinf To battle For 20 Years Old PL Star

Arsenal are looking to make their move to sign Tariq Lamptey next summer should Barcelona follow up their interest in Hector Bellerin. The Spaniard has supposedly been promised to Barcelona as part of Joan Laporte’s bid to return as president at the club, and the Gunners will likely entertain such a bid. Bellerin has come in for criticism in recent months after a number of below-par performances, and the club could well cash-in on the former Barcelona youth product, and will supposedly look to bring in Tariq Lamptey as his replacement. The 20 year-old made his senior debut against our club in the Caribao Cup last season, before leaving the club in January in search of regular action. Since the switch, some have claimed that the Blues were crazy to let him leave, but with Reece James as first-choice you could argue that the decision wasn’t too difficult. James has impressed for both club and country of late, but Lamptey is also tipped to make his mark for England in the coming years,

Cristiano Ronaldo was named the 'Player of the Century' at the Globe Soccer Awards on Sunday evening. It's yet another prestigious accolade for the Portuguese superstar, adding to his five Ballon d'Ors and various other high-profile individual honours. Ronaldo beat eternal rival Lionel Messi and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to win the 'Player of the Century' award. The Portuguese was presented with the accolade at a ceremony in Dubai and it seems the 35-year-old could have been lifting multiple trophies at the event. Ronaldo won the fans' vote for the 'Player of the Year', but the Dubai Global Soccer Jury weighed in to hand the award to Robert Lewandowski. An official statement from the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards reads: “Robert Lewandowski was named Player of the Year 2020 at last night’s Dubai Globe Soccer Awards, thanks to a combination of votes from fans all over the world and votes from the Dubai Globe Soccer Jury. "Lewandowski has had an

Ian Wright Sends Message To Arsenal Board About Mikel Arteta

Ian Wright has urged the Arsenal board to back under-fire Mikel Arteta despite the north London side suffering their eighth defeat of the 2020-21 Premier League season on Saturday evening. The Gunners slumped to their fourth defeat in their last six Premier League games with a 2-1 loss to Everton at Goodison Park to leave Arteta’s side just above the relegation zone. Nicolas Pepe’s penalty cancelled out Rob Holding’s own goal before Colombia international Yerry Mina scored a winner with his head in added time at the end of the first half Arsenal have lost eight of their 14 games in the Premier League to leave the Gunners facing the prospect of being sucked into a relegation battle. Arteta has endured a difficult first full season in charge of Arsenal after the Spanish head coach led the Gunners to the FA Cup last term. Former Arsenal striker Wright wants the Gunners to persist with Arteta despite the north London side’s dreadful run of form in the Premier League. “I think they’ve com

Arsenal Star Open To Barcelona Transfer After Becoming Priority Target for Presidential Candidate

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is reportedly a top transfer target for Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta. In a worrying development for Arsenal, it also seems Bellerin would be open to a return to the club where he started his career, according to the Daily Mirror. Bellerin has shone for the Gunners and would be a disappointing player to lose, especially at a time when Mikel Arteta has enough problems to deal with at the Emirates Stadium. It’s been a dire start to the season for Arsenal and they may well be in a relegation battle before long if things don’t improve quickly. It would then make sense for a player like Bellerin to want to move on, with Barcelona remaining contenders for the biggest trophies, even if they have had a difficult 2020. Hector Bellerin is a transfer target for his old club Barcelona Barca could do well to strengthen with a signing like Bellerin, who has shown himself to be a fine attacking full-back who could fit the Catalan giants’ style of pla

Arsenal Working On Plans To Swoop For Juventus Target

Arsenal is working on beating Juventus to the signature of FC Porto’s Fabio Vieira, according to reports in Portugal via the Daily Mail. The 20-year-old has only just broken into the Porto first team, but he has shown flashes of being one of the best young talents at the Portuguese side. Calciomercato says that Juventus is one of the teams watching him, but if they do not sign him soon, they might lose him to Arsenal. he Gunners have struggled with creativity this season and that has affected the number of goals that they have scored. Mikel Arteta has come under pressure for their poor run of form and a new midfielder is likely to join them next month. Vieira isn’t one of the key players at the Portuguese side, but they are still looking to make around £27 million from his sale. That is his release clause, but the coronavirus pandemic might force them to reduce that fee. Juventus needs new midfielders with their current options not looking strong enough to lead them to a 10th consecuti

Arteta Must Be Strong To Survive Allegri Rumours’ – Arsenal Boss Can’t Show Weakness, Says Smith

The former Gunners striker has urged an under-fire Spaniard to prove that he is the right man for the job and end links to an ex-Juventus coach Alan Smith claims it is “an open secret” that former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is being recommended to Arsenal amid their ongoing struggles, with Mikel Arteta told he is going to have to show no weakness in order to “survive” the rumours. The Gunners have continued to stumble out of the blocks in 2020-21, with their worst start made to a Premier League campaign. Inability to establish any kind of momentum has the north London outfit languishing in the bottom-half of the table and glancing anxiously over their shoulder at the drop zone below them. Unsurprisingly, questions are being asked of Arteta’s ongoing presence, with a rookie coach finding out the hard way just how tough life at the top can be. Arsenal have offered no indication that they are contemplating another managerial change, but Smith says potential successors – including

Mikel Arteta Will Succeed At Arsenal, Says Chief Executive

Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham has backed under-fire manager Mikel Arteta to turn the Premier League club's fortunes around after a dismal start to the season. Spaniard Arteta has come under increasing pressure following the north London club's slide down the table, with Arsenal languishing in 15th after losing five of their last seven league games - their worst start to a season since 1981/82. "With Mikel we have got a number of things," Venkatesham told The Times. "You've got an individual who has extraordinary experience in the Premier League across his time at Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and then back at Arsenal. Venkatesham says Arteta is a 'really powerful individual' who is 'absolutely driven to succeed' "You have got a guy that loves this club and understands what it means to play for this club, and he was obviously captain here. You've got a guy who is a real team player. "The team he's formed with

Victims of terror attacks by Islamic militants in the northern province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique have received $121,000 (£90,000) donation from Pope Francis. The donation was in response to an appeal by the Bishop of Pemba, Luis Fernando Lisboa, for assistance to thousands of people displaced from their homes by attacks by Islamist militants. The militants have been carrying out gruesome attacks in the gas-rich province since 2017. About 430,000 have been left homeless in the conflict. Bishop Lisboa has been heading the “Together for Cabo Delgado” campaign He told reporters that the pope’s donation would be used to build health facilities in areas where displaced people are camping, particularly in the districts of Montepuez and Chiure.
